“Mug shot photographs have long fascinated me. From my childhood I remember seeing clipboards of the "Most Wanted" fliers up at the post office and I always wondered who these individuals were and what they had done to be so sought after by the law. 

A mug shot does not necessarily mean the person is guilty, just that they have been caught and placed before the camera. The variety of emotions and expressions is remarkable and probably what keeps me returning to this subject matter year after year. These pieces at nearly "life size" make for a more intimate viewing.”
